Crosley Gracie was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, son of Rosley Gracie and grandson of the founder of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, Carlos Gracie.
He started training at the age of 9 years old with uncle Grandmaster Reylson Gracie in 1988. In 1992, he went on to train at uncle Carlson Gracie academy competing in a internal tournament held on the same year winning his first Jiu Jitsu match.
In 1999, after 7 years competing in Brazil, Crosley moved to the US to teach the gentle art to the American public. In the year of 2003 Crosley was awarded his black belt from cousin Ralph Gracie. On the same year Crosley debuted in the MMA scene, dominantly defeating a much more experienced Kiuma kunioku (29-15-7) from Japan in the Pancrase 10th anniversary event. Later in 2004 in his second MMA fight, Crosley went on to defeat by submission highly regarded japanese star Hayato" Mach" Sakurai (20-5-2) , who was never submitted in competition before.
Crosley is a dedicated and innovative martial art instructor who strives to help his students increase their self steem, self confidence and develop a strong foundation af discipline and focus in a fun, supportive environment.
